Dear Fellow Writers,
We are writing you a quick note to tip you off to a writers' seminar that will be taking place on Wednesday evening (tonight).
Lynne had attended Peter Bowerman's lecture and book signing at Barnes & Noble last night (Tuesday). Peter is author of "The Well-Fed Writer" and "The Well-Fed Writer's Back for Seconds" and he lectures on how to make a great living as a commercial freelance writer. His lecture was intriguing and inspiring, and he mentioned that he was offering a 2 1/2 hour in-depth workshop on Wednesday evening, June 15th from 7:00 to 9:30 PM at the Holiday Inn on Niagara Falls Blvd. (at the I-290).
The name of his workshop is: "Starving Writer No More! An Exploration of Commercial Writing". Peter is charging a very reasonable $47.00 for this workshop and can accept registrations on-line right up to the time of the workshop, or walk-ins.
The workshop outline that he shared with his lecture attendees is very comprehensive - well worth the effort if you're interested in this type of writing.
If you'd like more info or would like to pre-register for his workshop before 7:00 PM on Wednesday, please visit his website: www.wellfedwriter.com. Or, you can call his cell-phone while he's in town: (770) 438-7200.
Make sure to catch this workshop if you are interested in this area of writing ' writers/lecturers of this caliber rarely make it to Buffalo! After tomorrow, he's off to Toronto on Thursday to offer his workshop at the Learning Annex.
Hope to see you Wednesday! _________________________
Also, here's news of another book signing by Cliff Fazzolari, so if you missed him at the Women and Children's Hospital, please plan on attending:
Author Appearing at Media Play in Hamburg for Book Signing to Share His Family's true account of Counting on a Miracle. Book Signing slated for June 18, 2005 from 1 PM to 3 PM.
In Counting on a Miracle, published by Sterling House, Cliff Fazzolari, a six-time published author from Blasdell, New York, shares a true account of how the worst nightmare of doctors finding a large, life threatening tumor in his young son's chest led to the rest of the Fazzolari family rallying around him as doctors raced to identify the mass and successfully remove it.
Proceeds from sales of Counting on a Miracle during this book signing will benefit Women & Children's Hospital of Buffalo.
In addition to the incredible support of his extended family and friends, the Fazzolari's credit the doctors and nurses at Women & Children's Hospital for saving their son Jake. They are grateful for the state-of-the-art treatment he was given, but also remember fondly the personal care they received and friendships developed with the nursing staff and doctors at Women & Children's who attended to their medical and other needs.
Said Cliff Fazzolari, "We're certainly blessed to call Buffalo our home because Women & Children's Hospital is one of the top facilities in the world and when we needed help, some of the very best medical care was available right at our doorstep. We are forever indebted to the professionalism, and expertise of all those who worked to help Jake. We feel that Counting on a Miracle will be a benefit to anyone faced with the illness of their child and it will also shine some light on a team of wonderful people."
